The Vinyl Screen Frame, a Product of Screen Tight, Offers a Practical Solution for Screening Porches or Sunrooms

The Vinyl Screen Frame from Screen Tight has been designed with the needs of home builders in mind. This unique system provides an easily adaptable solution for most screen porches.

The Base component attaches securely to existing 2" x 4" or 4" x 4" framing using wood screws, roof tacks, or staples. Once the Base is in place, the screen can be rolled into position using a standard screen roller tool. The excess screen is then trimmed and removed.

The Cap snaps into the Base, completing the installation process. This durable and weather-resistant system requires minimal maintenance, as it will not corrode, rust, or rot, and never needs painting.

It is important to note that the screen wire and spline are not included with the Vinyl Screen Frame. The recommended spline size is .175" when using fiberglass screen wire and .165" when using aluminum screen wire.

The pre-punched holes on 8" (196 mm) centers allow for a quick and consistent attachment of the screen and spline. The process involves rolling the screen and spline into the Base using a standard screen spline roller. For aluminum screen wire, the SS165 series spline is recommended, while the SS175 series spline is suitable for fiberglass wire.

After the excess screen is trimmed and removed, the Cap snaps into the Base, finalizing the installation.

The Vinyl Screen Frame from Screen Tight is a durable and weather-resistant system that requires minimal maintenance. It will not corrode, rust, or rot, and never needs painting. Re-screening is a straightforward task, as the Cap can be easily popped off to roll in the new screen wire.

The installation process consists of four simple steps:

1. The Base component can be easily cut to fit using CRL PTS89 Trimming Snips.
2. Attach the Base to the existing wooden frame using screws or roofing tacks.
3. Secure the screen to the Base with screen spline by rolling the spline into the groove.
4. Trim the excess screen and snap the Cap into the Base.

The Vinyl Screen Frame from Screen Tight is available in a minimum order of five lengths and colors, and it accepts standard fiberglass and aluminum screen wire, as well as serrated retainer spline.

This low-maintenance screening system eliminates the need for rusty nails, staples, or loose screens, providing a practical and long-lasting solution for your porch or sunroom.
